Much Ado & Hamlet Under Competition

Both our Shakespeare Shorts ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ and ‘Hamlet’ have made the Official Selection for The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust’s ‘Shakespeare Film Festival’ Competition and were finalists for the festival’s grand prize. They were both also awarded the ‘Highly Commended’ award for notable excellence for textual adaptation on film.

Back for a second year, ‘Filming Shakespeare’ is the world’s first Shakespeare Film Festival, screening short films from around the globe that relate to William Shakespeare and his works, life and times. The selected ten finalists will had their films screened at the Picturehouse cinema in Stratford upon Avon in October with the winner announced during the Shakespeare Film Festival back in November 2014.
