Pre-production is under away on ‘Marcellas’ a comedy drama depicting the end of the world through the eyes of an unlucky in love singleton, who’s survived the apocalypse.
Co-written and Directed by Paolo De Battista, VENI VIDI Film is producing the short film in association with Peacock Films.
Shooting is scheduled for early August 2016 on location in studios in London and in Dartmoor National Parks, South Devon.
Marcellas follows an unlucky in love man now having a premature mid-life crisis. His luck gets even worse when becomes the last man on Earth after a giant cloud wipes out most of human civilisation. Alone and adrift, he escapes to an unknown barren landscape, living in a makeshift shed for solace and appears to be only human left until he happens to meet Keyla.
The creative team includes award winning Cinematographer Sebastián Benalcázar who’s short film ‘MIA’ recently screened at the this year’s Cannes Film Festival and won Best Short-film at Premios Cocoa at Universidad San Francisco de Quito and Production Designer Alexis Marie Sera, who’s recent work includes collaboration with American actor Shia LaBeouf on his viral art performance film #INTRODUCTIONS.
