
More Creatives Wanted For Trench Stories
We’re seeking a number of talented creatives to join the production team for ‘Trench Stories’, our commemorative film project in tribute to the World War One Centenary this year. Please read the job descriptions below at present were seeking an Art Director, Gaffer, Costume and Lighting Technician/Assist.
Art Director
Veni Vidi Film is looking for an enthusiastic and creative Art Director to join the production team of the shoot for ‘Trench Stories’.
Trench Stories will be a series of unique and vivid shorts to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of WWI.
These shorts will centre around the personalities and individuals involved, to paint a personal but ultimately moving story of day to day life of those who were right there on the firing line.
Due to the environment, we will be working outdoors on a remote Trench Location in October – We are looking for an exemplary Art Director to bring the project to life. As Art Director, you will be required to research WW1 trenches in order to best dress the location and trench itself and maintain it’s authenticity once we are on site. Ideally if possible, we would like you to also be available for continuity on site as we are running on as small a crew as is necessary in order to stick within our budget. This project is funding dependant and will be officially confirmed as of the 23rd of September for shooting from the 5th – 8th of October
The shooting dates are: 5 – 8th October 2014
The fee for this project is £100 + travel from and too London, and accommodation in Surrey near the location with the rest of the cast and crew. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will also be provided.
You will be required to attend production meetings (TBC) The full production meeting with all cast and crew on the 29th of September is essential for you to attend.
Weather dependent shoot – you will be working at times in trench like conditions, onsite with the company for 3 days.
**This project is entirely funding dependant, and as such are budget is low due to the project being a commemorative venture**

Gaffer
Veni Vidi Film is looking for an enthusiastic Gaffer/Head of Lighting to join the production team of the shoot for ‘Trench Stories’.
Trench Stories will be a series of unique and vivid shorts to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of WWI.
These shorts will centre around the personalities and individuals involved, to paint a personal but ultimately moving story of day to day life of those who were right there on the firing line.
Due to the environment, we will be working outdoors on a remote Trench Location in October – We are looking for an exemplary lighting designer/technician to bring the project to life. The shoot will take place outdoors within a recreated Trench Site based in Surrey, experience and knowledge working with lighting in outdoor environments on shoots is a must. Ideally looking for a Gaffer with their own lighting kit, as we do have a small budget for extra lighting hires but due to the scale of the project and the environment we are working with, the more kit the better. Please let us know what kit you currently possess and if there is any kit you will need. This can be decided upon after further discussions. Costume & Makeup
Veni Vidi Film is looking for an enthusiastic and resourceful Costume and Make Up Artist to join the production team of the shoot for ‘Trench Stories’.
Trench Stories will be a series of unique and vivid shorts to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of WWI.
These shorts will centre around the personalities and individuals involved, to paint a personal but ultimately moving story of day to day life of those who were right there on the firing line.
Due to the environment, we will be working outdoors on a remote Trench Location in October – We are looking for an exemplary Costume/Hair and Make Up artist to research and compile the outfits and looks for six actors in a WW1 infantry, along with all duties whilst on site. It is essential that you are available on the 15th of September in order to join us at the National Theatre Props & Costume Hire, to select and hire the costumers for the shoot. This project is funding dependant and will be officially confirmed as of the 23rd of September for shooting from the 5th – 8th of October.
The shooting dates are: 5 – 8th October 2014
The fee for this project is £100 + travel from and too London, and accommodation in Surrey near the location with the rest of the cast and crew. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will also be provided.
There will also be a budget of £30 for use of make up/effects such as blood etc

Lighting Technician/Assistant
Veni Vidi Film is looking an experienced Lighting Assistant/Technician to join the production team of the shoot for ‘Trench Stories’.
Trench Stories will be a series of unique and vivid shorts to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of WWI.
These shorts will centre around the personalities and individuals involved, to paint a personal but ultimately moving story of day to day life of those who were right there on the firing line.
Due to the environment, we will be working outdoors on a remote Trench Location in October – It is essential that you are very technically aware, as due to our location we will be dealing with large generators and much cabling in order to power the shoot. This project is funding dependant and will be officially confirmed as of the 23rd of September for shooting from the 5th – 8th of October.
The shooting dates are: 5 – 8th October 2014
There is no fee available but travel from and to London and accommodation in Surrey near the film location with the rest of the cast and crew will be provided. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner will also be provided.
It is also preferable that you have a car and are able to drive. Please let us know if this possible when applying.
