Filmmakers Wanted For Documentary Film
Veni Vidi Film is looking to find an avid filmmaker or filmmaking duo as an all in one camera crew, editor and director to create an inspiring documentary film.
The film will be based around the journey through the research, development and production of a major stage-play based on the life of renowned American journalist, novelist and war correspondent Martha Gellhorn.
One of the most prolific and celebrated war correspondents of her time, Martha reported on nearly every major war conflict of the 20th Century; from the outbreak of World War II, to the devastation of the Spanish Civil War to the atrocities witnessed during the Vietnam War.
We want to document on film the process in bringing this project to stage and to film.
From travelling to different parts of the globe interviewing friends and respected peers of Martha’s including Jon Snow, Victoria Glendinning, John Pilger, to capturing the personal journey for everyone involved; from the writer, the director, the producers and the crew that are all working together as a team to tell this story.
We want this to be a great feature project for a passionate and resourceful filmmaker. You will essentially be responsible for documenting this entire process on camera and working very closely with the VENI VIDI team to create, film and edit a feature length documentary that will be released in three parts over the course of 2014/2015.
How To Get In Touch:
Send an email through to firstname.lastname@example.org email@example.com with links to your showreel material or examples of your work.
We are in talks with family, friends, associates and leading journalists in connection with Martha to be a part of this and are also currently working on securing major funding to cover the costs of the entire project, but we need to confirm the filmmaker(s) now as development has already started.
We need people are who are passionate about telling imaginative stories on camera and have some experience in making documentaries but are also interested in coming on board to join the team and are willing to help. Filmmakers who are London based will be preferred due to a majority filming for the production workshops, meetings and development will take place around the capital.
We do receive a substantial amount of submissions and due this we will only be in touch if we like to speak with you further.
We look forward to hearing from you.
