VENI VIDI was founded in 2008 by Natalie-Anne Downs, Edward Dede and Nina Bjørklund. Originally producing theatrical productions and events for VEVI VIDI Theatre Company, before forming VENI VIDI Film in 2012 as the film division of the company.
As an ethos, the company is dedicated to producing theatre and film of the highest artistic merit that challenges, entertains and explores the limitless possibilities of the theatrical and cinematic arts form. Since the company was first formed, a growing body work has been produced from audio dramas, theatrical productions, award winning short films and new writing projects
Also part of the company’s aim is to also establish an environment that supports and nurtures new talent and artists by growing a collective of actors, writers, directors and producers. In our effort to support and encourage young and emerging artists, we previously produced a number of comedy & music evenings to showcase new talented poets, comics, bands and musicians. Previous shows have showcased the talents of and up coming acts: Joel Dommett (I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, Sky’s Bring The Noise, Live in Chelsea, MTV News,Skins, Russel Howards Good News Extra), Ginger and Black (Radio 4’s The Weekly Show, Comedy Shuffle – BBC3), Ahir Shah (Campus -Channel 4) Inuah Ellams (The Barbershop Chronicles, The 14th Tale – National Theatre), Jay Foreman (The General Election Xplained, Dave Gorman’s Powerpoint Presentation).
